- ➤ An Ocala doctor was fined $7,500 and given a year of probation for prescribing thyroid medication that led to a patient’s heart attack; he must complete five CME hours on thyroid disorders and work under strict supervision by a board-certified physician, as ordered on Monday, Dec. 22.
