ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Marion County firefighters responded to a house fire in the 3100 block of NE 155th Place in Citra and put out the flames by 5:06 p.m.—the Red Cross later assisted the family of two, and no injuries were reported. ClickOrlando
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ A Marion County resident who used Kroger delivery for three years expressed disappointment today over Kroger's decision to end Florida operations — noting that Publix is expensive and Winn-Dixie disappoints while hoping Wegmans will eventually fill the gap. The letter also conveyed sympathy for Kroger employees. Ocala-News
- ➤ An expanded Tractor Supply Company will open in Silver Springs Shores in February 2026 at 115 Bahia Avenue Place—a 10-acre wooded parcel near Greenway Elementary School—with features including a pet wash, garden center, feed center and forage shed. - ➤ The Marion County Planning and Zoning Commission will review the Capozolli Hills plan today at 5:30 p.m. at the McPherson Governmental Complex to rezone a 19.62-acre site at 7325 SW 80th Street for 72 homes—this site currently has two residences and farm buildings near a busy State Road 200 and SW 60th Avenue intersection—and a final decision will come later from the County Board.
