Good morning, Ocala.

City leaders are promoting the first Friday Artwalk to highlight Ocala's growing local arts scene—adding a cultural focus that complements the town's equine industry.

Ocala CEP shared details of the first Friday Artwalk—to show that the city values its equine heritage and growing arts scene.

Local organizers say the event will let community members explore art displays and connect with local artists.

Construction crews are quickly building Ocala’s second parking garage in downtown between SW 2nd Avenue and SW 3rd Avenue; the new structure will have 800 parking spaces and two entry points with detours now in place as it prepares to open next year.

SSC Construction Management expects the project to complete by summer—2026, with associated roadway improvements finishing by 2027.
