  • The Community Foundation for Ocala/Marion County will host Give4Marion on Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 16 and 17—an annual 33-hour fundraiser that brings donors, businesses and over 100 nonprofits together to support local agencies and surpass last year’s $3 million.   • Florida insurance regulators announced fines of over $2 million for eight companies that mishandled claims after Hurricanes Ian and Idalia. The fines—ranging from $50,000 to $400,000—address failures such as not paying or denying claims within 90 days and signal continued state efforts to ensure insurers honor their promises.  Ocala StarBanner
