  • A delivery man claimed he fell on an old steel plate that gave way at Marion Community Hospital on October 28—suffering serious bodily injuries and loss of capacity for life—and he filed his lawsuit on August 26, alleging the hospital neglected routine safety inspections and is now seeking more than $50,000 in damages.  Ocala-News

  • The United States Navy will resume bomb testing at the Pinecastle Range Complex in Ocala National Forest with live and inert bomb exercises scheduled for Tuesday, September 2 from 9:15 a.m. to 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 3 from 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., and Thursday, September 4 from 9:15 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wildlife may be displaced during testing — motorists are advised to drive with extra caution.  Ocala-News
