- ➤ Skyla reported her 5-month-old hairless kitten Dobby disappeared Tuesday night around 6 p.m. from her home on Southwest 106th Street in King’s Court—she said he may have slipped out the dog door and scaled the fence, and she urged anyone with information to call her. WCJB

- ➤ On Wednesday afternoon, an overturned semi-truck blocked all three northbound lanes on I-75 in Ocala—just north of the Silver Springs Boulevard exit. WCJB
- ➤ A USPS mail carrier filed a lawsuit on August 5 after a mailbox bank fell on her while delivering mail at The Estates at Heathbrook in Ocala on September 17, 2021 — she seeks over $50,000, claiming the incident caused severe, permanent injuries and loss of income. Ocala-News
- ➤ Marion County firefighters responded at 7:33 p.m. Tuesday to a large fire at Tizwhiz Feed/Ocala Hay Company in Reddick that caused multiple explosions and ignited four tractor-trailers, but the blaze was put out with no injuries reported. ClickOrlando

- ➤ Tropical Storm Erin is beginning to strengthen today and is expected to become a hurricane by later today or early Friday with forecasters predicting it will reach Category 3 status with 115-mph winds by Sunday as it moves west across the Atlantic.
