- ➤ Ocala Shrine Club will host a gun show on Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 4301 SE Maricamp Road, where visitors can buy, see, and trade firearms and other related items (admission is $10 for adults 15 and older while children 14 and under enter free). Ocala-News
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Reshon Keonte Reese, a 16-year-old North Marion High School student from Ocala, drowned last week at a rock quarry on N U.S. Highway 441 after he attempted to swim across and witnesses said he pleaded for help before a pool float briefly aided him—rescue divers later removed him from the water and he was pronounced dead at HCA Florida Ocala Hospital. - ➤ State troopers said a 19 year old motorcyclist died in a three-vehicle crash on Thursday when an SUV cut him off on State Road 40 near Northwest 68th Avenue Road — debris from the collision struck a sedan and two occupants of the SUV suffered minor injuries. WCJB

- ➤ Ocala police arrested youth baseball coach John Sales, 29, on charges of lewd or lascivious molestation involving multiple minors after a March 31 report led to an investigation that uncovered additional allegations in Marion and Citrus counties (Sales coached youth at local organizations). - ➤ Congresswoman Kat Cammack evacuated her Ocala office on Wednesday after her staff allegedly received hundreds of death threats linked to a Wall Street Journal report on her May ectopic pregnancy. She said the threats targeted her family, staff, and unborn child (the most violent messages remain under investigation). Ocala-News
