- ➤ Residents in Ocala wrote letters after one resident shared concerns about SunTran service during a meeting—citing past difficult experiences and alleged discrimination—with some supporters defending the bus drivers and rules. SunTran said it will upgrade its northeast facility amid ongoing community debate. Ocala-News
- ➤ Volunteers are asked to help clean up Scotts Springs Park (2825 SW 24th Ave.) on Wednesday, June 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. They will pick up litter, pull invasive vegetation, and work to improve the park’s ecosystem for wildlife including monarch butterflies. Ocala-News

- ➤ Michael Lee Rodriguez, Sr. a 25-year-old man from Ocala was arrested Saturday, June 14 on charges of unarmed burglary and criminal mischief after he allegedly broke into a newly built Marion Oaks home and smashed a window—causing $1,600 in damage, a $12,000 bond, and a court appearance set for Tuesday, July 15 at 9 a.m. Ocala-News
