- ➤ Four pets—three dogs and one cat—died in an Ocala house fire on Thursday when they became trapped inside a home on NW 48th Avenue, and Marion County and Ocala Fire Rescue fought the blaze from 1:12 to 1:21 p.m. while the cause remains under investigation. Ocala-News

- ➤ The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man with dementia who was last seen on Thursday leaving his Ocala home in a gold 2005 Toyota Camry with license plate JULR70—he wore black shoes, black sweatpants, a white and light blue T-shirt and a Navy veteran’s hat, and his vehicle was spotted on Interstate 10 near Pensacola. - ➤ Logan Nichole Guminski faces trial on September 15—she is accused of posting explicit videos of sexual activity with her dog after police received an anonymous tip on January 28, and she admitted to creating the videos during a police interview. Ocala-News
