A driver in a Mazda minivan died early Sunday on U.S. 441 when his vehicle, moving at high speed and reportedly driven recklessly, left the road, struck a culvert and overturned — police said he was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

A woman died after her car went off the road, hit an amber warning sign, and struck a tree on County Road 450 in Umatilla — she was taken to an Ocala hospital — according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Deputies responded around 3 a.m. Saturday to a shooting on the 3900 block of Southeast Maricamp Road where three people in a car were shot and taken to the hospital—no arrests have been made as the investigation continues.
