  • On Memorial Day, communities across Florida will hold tribute events to honor service members lost in conflicts such as WWII, Vietnam, WWI, the Korean War, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Florida figures show over 4,600 deaths in WWII & nearly 2,000 in Vietnam.  Ocala StarBanner

  • TV20 received photos that show Paynes Prairie as the backdrop for the filming of 'A Land Remembered', featuring a horse-drawn migration in the south. Clawgrass pioneer Mark Johnson — known for blending clawhammer banjo with bluegrass — will be inducted into the American Banjo Museum Hall of Fame in October.  WCJB
