  • Ocala Breeders' Sales announced on Tuesday, May 5 that 909 horses will be offered at a three-day sale from June 16 to 18 at its facility (1701 SW 60th Avenue) in Ocala; an under-tack show will run from June 9 to 13 at 7:30 a.m. daily.  Ocala-News

  • Gas prices have risen above $4.50 per gallon in north central Florida, with averages of 4.51 in Marion, 4.55 in Alachua and 4.41 in Columbia; drivers adjusted routines and trimmed expenses after a Circle K discount was offered from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday.  WCJB
