- ➤ On Top of the World Communities, LLC filed a waiver with the Marion County Development Review Committee to create The Nest in Calesa Township in southwest Ocala, an outdoor venue with an amphitheater, beer garden, food truck village, tap room, and coffee house. The project is planned near local landmarks (Florida Aquatics Swimming and Training facility and Ina A. Colen Academy) and awaits review at a meeting Monday at 9 a.m. Ocala-News

- ➤ Florida’s Operation Best Foot Forward will start on Tuesday, April 22 and run until Friday, May 2 as undercover officers ticket drivers who fail to yield to pedestrians at crosswalks near parks and trails in nine Central Florida counties — those drivers will face a minimum $164 fine and three points on their license.
