- ➤ On April 1, Belleview officials approved Judy Trout Realty’s plan to add a horse-themed mural on its building at 4925 SE Abshier Boulevard near the 110th Street intersection. The mural—measuring 24 feet by 9 feet—shows a family of horses grazing on a green pasture as it is painted around a preexisting sign. Ocala-News

- ➤ Ocala man Lance Wesley Tidwell, 63, was arrested Thursday night after allegedly firing a gun at his neighbor during an airboat dispute—he faces two felony charges for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and is scheduled for a court hearing on May 6 at 9 a.m. WCJB
- ➤ The family of 73-year-old disabled Vietnam veteran Dennis J. Di Genova, Sr.—whose death in Marion County custody was ruled a homicide—filed a lawsuit on April 2 in the U.S. Middle District Court against Sheriff Billy Woods and deputies Jason Lester, Charles Cici, and Justin Douglas, alleging they used deadly force, pepper spray, and tasers improperly before leaving him on a cell floor for two days and seeking over $75,000 in damages.
