- ➤ Three people were injured when a Toyota sedan crashed into the back of a semi-truck near the intersection of SW Oleander Place & SW Marine Boulevard in Dunnellon on March 27th; one occupant was trapped and received rapid extrication and trauma alert care from Marion County Fire Rescue before being taken to a local hospital. - ➤ A Marion County woman, Faith Cheyenne Cox, was arrested after she allegedly stole a firearm from a neighbor’s home on NE 132nd Place in Fort McCoy on March 27th when she was invited in for a glass of water, admitted taking the pistol to pay for her drug addiction and is now held without bond pending a court date. Ocala-News

- ➤ A wildfire in Ocala National Forest grew to 521 acres by 9 a.m. Saturday and was 50% contained in the Alexander Springs Wilderness area north of County Road 42. Emergency crews, who began fighting the Fernadez Fire on March 21, continued mapping hot spots—additional efforts will follow as dry conditions persist. Ocala-News
