- ➤ Marion County School Board approved a contract length for the Superintendent on Jan. 8, though they postponed discussion over his salary. Further salary details will be addressed in upcoming meetings. WCJB
- ➤ Marion County School Board in Ocala approved a two-year contract for interim superintendent Danielle Brewer on Thursday (she has served since last April) and postponed salary talks until Feb. 5. WCJB
REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ Country Oaks Shopping Center (a 86,645 sqft plaza at 9598 SW 114th Street housing stores like Dollar Tree and Sherwin Williams) was sold by Country Oaks Retail Associates to Warm Springs Villages for $7.25 million on Monday, Jan. 5, adding to a string of local shopping plaza transactions.
