About this event

Cardiac arrest is one of the leading causes of death in the U.S. Nationally only 10% survive. In The Villages the survival rate last year was 23%. Cardiac compression and the use of an AED increase chances of survival. Learn how to safely recognize a Sudden-Cardiac-Arrest (SCA) victim and what to do next. Experience hands on practice with manikins and AED trainers. Learn how to help an infant, child and adult choking victim.

This is a free class taught by HSI/ASHI certified CPR instructors for all Village residents. All instructors are volunteer Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) members. Donations to the CERT Foundation for supplies and equipment are appreciated.
