Cardiac arrest is one of the leading causes of death in the U.S. Nationally only 10% survive. In The Villages the survival rate last year was 23%. Cardiac compression and the use of an AED increase chances of survival. Learn how to safely recognize a Sudden-Cardiac-Arrest (SCA) victim and what to do next. Experience hands on practice with manikins and AED trainers. Learn the Heimlich maneuver for infants, children and adults.

This is a free class taught by ASHI certified CPR instructors for all Village residents. All instructors are volunteer Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) members. Donations to the CERT Foundation for supplies and equipment are appreciated.
